We’re all grown up but still giggling with glee
As we gather to honor the sweet bride-to-be.
We’ve found what makes
A house a home,
These ingredients are key.
Lots of love, plenty of laughter,
And the presence
Of friends and family!
Stop by our new house
Soon . . . And often!
We’ve packed our things and
Moved to a new address,
But all the friends we’ve left behind
Are what we’ll really miss!
We’ve packed up boxes, lamps, and chairs . . .
Our home is somewhere new.
We couldn’t leave and settle in
Without telling you.
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
Whose eyes sparkle like the stars?
Whose smile outshines the sun?
Whose skin is soft as moon-glow?
Our precious little one!
You cannot dream yourself into a character; you must hammer and forge yourself one.
You cannot get to the top by sitting on your bottom.
You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him find it within himself.
You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.
You have been entrusted with a fantastic treasure
And an awesome responsibility.
God has chosen you to protect, nurture,
And guide this innocent life.
You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.
You’re on your own.
And you know what you know.
You are the guy who’ll decide where to go.
You have the tools you need.
You are ready for the trials and
You are ready for the joy. – Birth Announcement
You must be the change you wish to see in the world.
Your emotions, your patience, your stamina,
Your virtue, your selflessness, and the very core
Of your character will all be tested over the years.
We are made to do this work and its not easy…I would say that pain is part of the glory, or the tremendous mystery of life. And that if anything, it’s a kind of privilege to stand so close to such an incredible miracle.
We can do no great things; only small things with great love.
We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.

We finally moved, but we’ll still be around.
We didn’t go far just across town!
We invite you to come and celebrate,
So mark your calendar with the date!.
We know what we are, but know not what we may be.
We outgrew our house,
There wasn’t enough space.
We hope you’ll come to visit
And see our new place!
We went out on a limb and . . .
Now we’re homeowners!

Well behaved women rarely make history.
The roots of true achievement lie in the will to become the best that you can become.
The trouble with learning from experience is that you never graduate.
The woman’s choice itself may influence her level of anxiety and apprehension, and in obstetrics levels of anxiety have been shown to predict obstetric complications.
There is a good reason they call these ceremonies ‘commencement exercises’. Graduation is not the end; it’s the beginning.

Try not to become a man of success but a man of value.
Two roads diverged in a wood and I — I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.

The address is new,
But the doors always open

The experience profoundly changed my perspective. In the hospital, I hadn’t perceived the anxiety and foreboding that permeated birth until I experienced the impact of its absence among the midwives. The peace, wonder, and intimacy were infinitely greater. What a compelling difference!

People never sing…except in the bathroom. Birthing women also make their natural sounds next to running bath water. There is something about the power of water. People are drawn to water, spas, and sacred streams. Women in labor are drawn to water, too.
