Aside the stream I dream in calm delight, and
watch as in a glass,
How the cloudlets like crowds of snowy-hued and
white-robed maidens pass,
And the water into ripples breaks and sparkles
as it spreads,
Like a host of armored knights with silver
helmets on their heads.
A cloud fell down from the heavens,
And broke on the mountain’s brow;
It scattered the dusky fragments
All over the vale below.
The moon and the stars were anxious
To know what its fate might be;
So they rushed to the azure opening,
And all peered down to see.
And I deem the stream an emblem fit of human
life may go,
For I find a mind may sparkle much and yet
but shallows show,
And a soul may glow with myriad lights and
When it only lies a dormant thing and mirrors
what it sees.
What colour were your hair and eyes?
How soft was your face?
I think that you’re the best there is…
I’m sure you think I’m a disgrace.
Would you have loved like your grandma?
Caring, Selfless, not like me?
Would you have been a happy child?
Would science have been your hobby?
I don’t have words to tell you how sorry I am
And how I wish I could change what I did
At the time I didn’t know the ramifications
At the time I was just a kid.
I have never felt so sorry and helpless
Regret is all I feel
I can’t put you back together
And allow you to heal.
What were you doing in me
When your last heartbeat came?
You were 100% dependent on me
And I put out your flame.
If I could trade places with you
I would do it in a second
But at this point you might be lucky one
Because with God you are present.
I will never be able to think of you
Without sorrow in my heart
But deep down inside
We have never been apart.
Almighty has shown me
That even though what I did wasn’t right
I can still receive forgiveness
And end my innermost fight
I don’t know if you will ever forgive me
All I can do is wait and see
For the moment that my Earthly life ends
And you will finally see me
Are you going to approach me with gladness?
Or will hate be in your heart?
I would not blame you
If you had no forgiveness to impart
I hope that since God has forgiven me
You can do it, too
Forgiving myself as been tough, as well
The toughest thing I ever did do.
I look forward to the day
When YOU and my family will be together
We will laugh and sing and jump for joy
Because we will all be forever
When I looked out over the patio tonight I noticed a single star,
With fog so dense you couldn’t see the moon, I new you are not so far.
I stared at you for a while hoping for a reason,
Then realized at that very moment that you weren’t out of season.
You always will be alive in my heart and memories,
And in my silent smiles and cries,
So strong in fact that it has burned a hole in the fog,
Just so that the light of you can keep us warm and protected with a log.
Though night shall fade and day shall come,
I know that you will not have abandoned me a some
For you are now my shadow that guides and protects my day,
I know now that I shall never walk behind and stay.
One would not think to ever hurt me,
For they will see you at my side,
Keeping all the distances abide-
And know that a man of great stature and power protects me.
I will sleep easy tonight,
Knowing that you are there beside me,
When I feel that extra bit of warmth and security at night,
I know it is but your arms wrapped around me.
I am Never Alone,
And You Are Never Forgotten.
You give me warmth
When it is cold:
With you I want
To grow old.
You give me strength
To carry on,
And when I am weak
You show me how to move on.
You dry my tears
With your amazing love
It must be true
You are sent from above.
You ease my pain
With your muscular wrist stout,
You show me
What love is about.
You find a way to make me smile
When we are apart
There is something I can surely say
My Love for you comes straight from my heart
These words I wrote
To complete my vow:
My love for You will always grow.
Love, Laughter, and of course YOU.
You bring into my life the other two
From the day we met, and for every single day
Love and laughter in our lives will stay.
Laughter is a pleasant sound,
It spreads joy all around
Laughter can be a kind of help
A worthy enemy to distress.
Raise this laughter so dear
To be heard by human ear
Make it go on around the earth
Little chuckles happy mirth
So many ways of laughter
Don’t fear the others comments further.
Let laughter way out of yourself
Be assured laughter is magic
Open your heart to thyself
It overcomes all tragic.
With the warmest of wishes
Let you have a vow
hope that you’re feeling
much better now.
Hope this happy get-well note
Adds sunshine to your day-
And shows you that you’re thought of
In a warm and special way!
It’s nice to hear you’re doing well
And convalescing fast,
And here’s a wish that your good health
Will last and last and last.
Even though you’re not feeling your best
With a little time, good care and rest-
It won’t be long until the happy day
When you’re feeling fine in every way.
Hope you’ll soon be feeling fine
The way you were before
Because things just won’t be the same
Until you’re well once more.
A single word can change the world
I found that out the night,
you asked me on 15th Feb, so politely,
“stay with me tonight.”
I looked into your gentle face
realized it must be a dream,
so before my head could say no
my body joyfully screamed.
As your eyes showed their relief
you softly touched my cheek,
you smiled then into my face
and my heart began to weep.
You wrapped me in your arms then
carried me to your bed,
you laid me gently down there
and not another word was said.
I realized that I loved you after
when you held me in your arms
and told me you would do anything
to stop me being harmed.
Ever since that night,
all the days that have passed us by,
you have taught me that i can be myself
I have no need to cry.
Because you are my Savior
you have shown me so much light,
ever since the day you said,
stay with me tonight.
We are all in the same boat,
in a stormy sea,
and we owe each other
a terrible loyalty
It is the time when thou kissed me first on my palm—
Which seemed nothing but a
Comfortable and warm balm.
We were standing on that sea shore
Where I want to go no more..
For, the golden sand and the clusters of those coconut trees
Occur a sort of eternal pang and grieves.
The twilight was dropping its curtain then;
Dear, I know-it occurs everyday and will occur again.
Time marches on with its painful memories
Torturing silently the rest of my days.
But yea, I am profoundly glad
For I never repent..
Thou art no more with me
And siding all sorts of earthly attractions
Sleeping peacefully in thy tomb….
Where I gaze with interminable love
Silently and dumb.
This devotee will obviously will get
The fruit of her devotion,
Whose soul has been stolen-
By thy unfathomable attraction.
Now, ‘o-revoa’ sweetheart
Wait with great patience
For your darling
From the depth of thy heart.
Today is the day of thy departure-
Its a feeling of mental torture…
Thou are departing for thy education,
Earnestly praying to the Almighty that
Thou must come back with the
Epitome of perfection.
Thou will always get remind
By whom thou are leaving behind…
Years, months and weeks will pass on….
Gradually the time of thy arrival
Will comes forth on…
Here, I am in the air-port
To sake you-“bye”-
After a couple of years, I shall be here again
To say you-“hi!”
While watching the air-bus swiftly disappearing
Through the cloudlet-
Slowly my heart had
Started to melt….
Could thou see my arm?
Which was waving at thee with the touch of calm?
Now, listen thou—
For thee-“the gem of my heart”
I have a secret vow:
‘I shall silently count the days
In the far-off miles
When thou will take me in thy arms
With a Ray of Smiles.’………
If at times you feel you want to cry.
And life seems such a trial.
Above the clouds there’s a bright blue sky
So make your tears a smile.
As you travel on life’s way
With its many ups and downs
Remember it’s quite true to say
One smile is worth a dozen frowns.
Among the world’s expensive things
A smile is very cheap
And when you give a smile away,
You get one back to keep.
So when friends have sadness on their face
And troubles round them piled
The world will seem a better place
And all because you smiled.
A simple word
A gentle smile
Dissolves my pain
The bitter bile.
All this time I searched in vain
I thought something was missing.
A thousand smiles I missed a day
A wasted lifetime wishing.
I have many a beautiful reasons,
To wake each day and smile.
The smallest things that make me proud,
The list would stretch a mile.
Happiness comes at times to all
But sadness comes unbidden
And sometimes a few tears must fall
Among the laughter hidden.
(Yea, I do this)
