Life In colour

When you’re young
Everything is red
Your system pounds
Your eyes are all encompassing
Your heart flies
And nothing dies on you
In transition
Everything is vermillion
Red touches with a little fear
Your system slides
Your eyes choose what they will see
Your heart lands in someone’s hands
When you’ve grown
Everything is mauve
Red invaded by white
Punished by blue
Your system rumbles
Your eyes are shut
Your heart dies
To hurt and lies
And nothing flies for you.
