Does Anything Ever Last
How can passion felt burn so hot
as melt a door turn so cold
as to freeze and crack a broken heart
how can words so kind
simply blow away
leave me doubting in the dark
if it was my mind
how can a touch
i feel through out
suddenly disappear
with only echoes in my ear
how can a vision i rarely seen
be so beautiful and clear
suddenly vanish as though never here
makes me wonder what is real
reflecting as i ponder
how it came and went so fast
does anything ever last
i search my whole life
through discovering all the while
nothing has meant to stay
just to make smile
a blink of an eye
as time passes by
so much to think about
as my world’s turn inside out
as i pieces together yet again
the broken pieces of my heart.
