I found this article online, and wanted to share.

So, you say you are in love...really? Why are you in love with this particular person... because he/she has beautiful eyes, nice hair, great body, a cute nose?? Or say he/she is wealthy, the most popular on campus??

When you go out with your partner, is your sole aim to feel being watched by others with envy? Are you so full of trying to make an ex-boyfriend/girlfriend jealous by being seen with your new partner, or wanting to show up at a party with a ´hot date´? If your heart says yes to any of these, then that's not love. What is really important and what should really matter is what you and your partner think of each other, not what others think of you as a couple. You shouldn't be busy trying to impress others with your latest 'catch'.

As for love at first sight...well some people do believe there is such thing but it's hard to understand how this could be practically possible. All that first sight tells you is whether the person is brand-conscious when it comes to clothes, their fashion sense, their style of makeup and overall their physical appearance. Is it this that you will base your relationship on?

When you see them or are near them there is this instant chemistry they say. Well, no denying that physical attraction is a 'part and parcel' of the love package but then like I just said it is a 'part' not the only thing! When you're spending time with each other doing small things, for example sharing jokes, views on various issues and still enjoy being with each other then it could be that you have truly found love. If you still feel the rush of loving feelings in the most quiet and peaceful moments, then it is love indeed.

Sometimes we do things in life just to rebel...be it against parents, society or someone else. If you are in a relationship with someone, be there because you truly wish to be with your partner, and not because he/she is symbolic of something 'forbidden' or a 'conquest'. Being in love is being with them when they really need you. Love is about accepting everything...it's about trust, comfort, understanding...well love is about LOVE!

Would you be there for them in times of trouble? A true loving relationship is about mutual trust. If you or your partner weren't there for each other in small troubles in life, what would happen in case something big happens? Find out for yourself what really makes this person special to you? Know them...know their hopes and dreams. When you know someone closely, admire him/her for their strengths, still accept their weaknesses and most important still LOVE them, then you are truly in love.
