we have a saying

So I would say yes it is ok to lie in the case to save a life as long as it does no other harm.

hummmm...what if u think that it will save that person's life...well one person;s life is saved...the other one's ruined...so the lie which cud make one feel better...same lie cud make another person for whom u said the lie in the first place....it cud ruin their life....:p
