One day i was talking to my friend, who lives in USA...basically he is punjabi, but born and raised in usa..
he said "u know we have special cards, we put a card in a machine and cash comes out"
I'm like, "Ohhhhh India isn't that backward, we have ATMs/Credit Cards too..."
He thinks of India as a really backward place...

And some americans compare India with Alaska...
like "hey why don't you go to alaska, and live there forever, or maybe India?"
lol...

Of course it's not the matter of being backward...
But the matter of population...Which is increasing so fast and it's becoming out of control ,as far as I know...
But...
Seriously...
Do you eat monkey's brain?
Some years ago,I was watching a movie...in which there were some people who were eating monkey's brain while the animal was still alive...
They cut the skull and started eating...
It was so disgusting!
I was wondering if you do the same...
Or it's only a rumour...
Of course there are many unusual dishes all around the world...
Like Thai people who dry insects and have it as nut!

maybe because india has a huge population of Rhesus and many keep them as pets, hell no indians don't eat monkey brains...
it is just that in scientific community this is the species on which experiments are performed for they (behaviourwise) much more like humans...
it is just a stereotype...

I just remembered...
Indiana Jones..."Temple of doom"
Though I do agree with you the4th...
Movies can't be good sources to judge...
"monkeys are sacred in India"
IS IT CORRECT?
And how about this?
Actually there is a group of people in India that hunt and eat rats for a living. People pay them to help get rid of their rats, and they actually do cook them and eat them. The early Polynesians took a large, rat-like rodent with them, when they explored and settled the South Sea islands. It was a domestic animal that they ate as a meat source"
I would appreciate your reply.
Thanks

Hanuman is a monkey God/lord in Hinduism...he along with entire monkey army lead by Sugreev,...conquered Lanka, the kingdom of the daemon king Raavan, who held Raam's wife Sita hostage... Baali was one hell of a warrior,(i think he was Sugreev's brother!...correct me if i am wrong) done in by deceiving by hindu lord Raam....Hanuman was a loyal servant to raam, sita, lakshman...many wrestlers in India do start their day with a prayer to him...
this monkey army of Raam comprising hanuman, sugreev and others..helped Raam build a stone bridge called raam setu recently this has been a topic of controversy among hindus many believe it is the modern day Palk Straits between Sri Lanka and India and Sri Lanka (formerly Celyon) many believe is the Lanka of Ravana....
As far as i am concerned i don't believe any of it...
and further still have absolutely no interest in continuing any further discussion on Hindu religion and their mythology...well because i hate it...
But i do admire hanuman's loyalty....:)
P.S: NASA and ISRO believe the formation in Palk Straits is a natural one...and i is definitely not a manmade one...

The part of it is available in the link Desi Boy gave us...
But yours is really complete and apt!:)
You know a lot!I'm amazed!
you know...once I saw a cartoon...including this story...Yeah...Don't laugh at me...I still watch them...;)
It was a nice story yet far from reality...
like a myth...
You are right...
Being loyal is always admirable.
Thanks for the information...
Enjoy your evening.
