Vivekananda Jayanti is celebrated to commemorate the birthday of Swami Vivekananda all across India. It occurs in the Hindu month of Paush on the seventh day after the full moon day. The day is Paush Krishna Saptami. There is no fixed date regarding his birthday and it changes every year. Swami Vivekananda was the modern saint who spent his entire life for Hinduism. On this day neighboring schools are invited and many competitions are conducted in schools and colleges.
