When he was only sixteen years old, he went to Shirdi in Maharahtra and remain there entire his life. Therefore he is popularly known as Shirdi Sai Baba.
He was an Indian fakir, yogi and guru and was considered saint by the devotees of Muslim and Hindu. He was regarded as Lord Dattatreya’s incarnation by Hindus. He directed his devotees of love, helping others, forgiveness, charity, a moral code of conduct, inner peace and devotion to God. The devotees flock to temples of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, arrange special prayers and sang devotional songs on this day.
