Janmasthami

It is celebrated all over India but Mathura, Dwarka and Varanasi celebrate it with much more zeal and enthusiasm. It marks the birth of Lord Krishna and is celebrated on eighth day of Shravan month (Asthami). Mostly it is celebrated the day after Raksha Bandhan.
